Dr. Stephen Martell has been practicing at Leola Family Health center for nine years and brings a rich and diverse knowledge base to the practice which includes Diabetes, Hypertension and Cardiovascular health, sports medicine and Geriatric Care. He is a caring and compassionate doctor who is ready to work along side of you in achieving your health goals.

    Dr. Martell received his undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia Pa. His medical degree is from Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College. He served an internship at Williamsport Hospital, Willamsport, Pa. and his residency was from University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified and re-certified from by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is on staff at Lancaster General Hospital, Ephrata, and The Heart Hospital of Lancaster and is on active staff of Lancaster Regional Medical Center, where he is chairman of the Department of Family Medicine.

    He is a Diplomat of the National Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Geriatrics Society. He is a current active member of the Pediatric Care Management Committee at Lancaster General Hospital as well as the Newborn Care Management Committee at Woman’s and Babies Hospital of Lancaster. His experience is diverse from Emergency Medicine to Sports Medicine and Geriatrics.
